Tako & Ika!

I drew made these designs entirely in Flash, then made them into a double-sided 1″ pendant for my pal HeartFeltRobots.

I Drive the Courtesy Cart!

I drew this for work - it's going in the Puget Sound Bead Festival catalog. I sketched it on a piece of paper, scanned it, and then traced it all in Flash.

FlowerBot

I actually painted this a couple of months ago for Neighbor Gary's birthday, but I didn't actually give it to him until a couple of days ago, and I couldn't actually post it here before he saw it. Didn't want to give it away!

Happy Birthday, Jen

A cute little invitation I whipped up real quick for a friend's birthday party. I was going for a simple "Calvin & Hobbes" vibe with the character design.

Peppers from Years Ago

I painted these peppers as a Christmas present for my mom about, oh, a couple years ago. She only last month got around to hanging them up on the wall of her house (I told her I wouldn't paint her anything else until she hung it up!).

PotW #12: WonderBot

For anyone who has ever looked at the stars... and wondered...

This is the final painting of my summer-long Painting of the Week (a couple of weeks late, though. Oops). I learned a few things:
  1. I like to paint (okay, I already knew that)
  2. Painting can be a fun social activity
  3. I shouldn't paint abstract paintings
  4. My friends want me to paint robots for them

Indeed, in a follow-up to that 4th point, of the 12 paintings I did this summer I gave half of them away as presents. Four robots, a ghost, and a sexy nude.
