I was commissioned to paint 3 robot paintings for a nursery of a friend whose wife is expecting a wee baby! Here's what I came up with:

Who thinks this guy is cute? I designed him to be made into a charm/pendant. I think he came out rather well.

For anyone who has ever looked at the stars... and wondered...

This is the final painting of my summer-long Painting of the Week (a couple of weeks late, though. Oops). I learned a few things:

1. I like to paint (okay, I already knew that)
2. Painting can be a fun social activity
3. I shouldn't paint abstract paintings
4. My friends want me to paint robots for them

Indeed, in a follow-up to that 4th point, of the 12 paintings I did this summer I gave half of them away as presents. Four robots, a ghost, and a sexy nude.
