Peppers from Years Ago

I painted these peppers as a Christmas present for my mom about, oh, a couple years ago. She only last month got around to hanging them up on the wall of her house (I told her I wouldn't paint her anything else until she hung it up!).

PotW #12: WonderBot

For anyone who has ever looked at the stars... and wondered...

This is the final painting of my summer-long Painting of the Week (a couple of weeks late, though. Oops). I learned a few things:
  1. I like to paint (okay, I already knew that)
  2. Painting can be a fun social activity
  3. I shouldn't paint abstract paintings
  4. My friends want me to paint robots for them

Indeed, in a follow-up to that 4th point, of the 12 paintings I did this summer I gave half of them away as presents. Four robots, a ghost, and a sexy nude.

PotW #6

I asked Carrie for two colors, and she said, "Brown and blue." So I painted this. I should have gone with a lighter blue... or a lighter brown.

I'm a week behind due to going to Canada, so I'm gonna paint another picture sometime this week to catch up.

PotW #5: Blue Warningbot

Fun with Tiny Canvases! When my brother's birthday gift didn't show up on time (even though I ordered it a way long time ago), I painted him this to tide him over.

It's my most Shane Glines inspired drawing evar. But I really like the way it came out a whole heck of a lot.

Cosmic

These drawings were done for the Cosmic Jam at The Drawing Board.

Starfire - The Comic Book Version

As promised (below), here is the comic version of Starfire.

Starfire

The animated version. Maybe I'll do the comic version too as a comparison?

Colorful Comic Cuties:

These drawings of comic book characters (as well as Purple Man, Red X, Black Manta, Black Adam, Black Vulcan, Black Lightning, and Scarlet Witch, below) were drawn for the Jan '06 Superhero Jam at The Drawing Board.

Black Canary

At one time a Seattle-based superhero, now she works with/for Barbara Gordon. She has a killer scream.

Indigo

The niave cyborg/robot from the future who turned out to be a Brainiac (Brainiac 8 I believe). Strange that she is aqua-colored rather than indigo-colored, huh?

White Queen

Former supervillain Emma Frost, now co-leader of superhero X-Men. Still thinks she's better than everybody else, though.

Black Cat

Has basically the same relationship with Spider-Man that Catwoman does with Batman, except that Black Cat became a cat burglar in the first place in order to get close to Spider-Man.

The Purple Man

...from whom we learned that if you want to get mind-control powers, all you have to do is dye your skin purple.

Comic Book People: Black & Red

Black Manta, angry black man and villain to Aquaman (actually kills one of Aquaman's kids in the comics):
Black Adam, sometimes-evil counterpart of Captain Marvel:
Black Vulcan & Black Lightning—perhaps two versions of the same guy?
Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch:
